Many years ago a transport ship from Munich to Port Jersey was advised not to continue through the N. Atlantic, but did anyway. The carnage was pretty amazing. Some of the cars had to be cut apart to get them free of the beams in the ship. I think Port Jersey fixed about 60 cars. Sent the really bad fixables around to the port in California(around 40 I believe), and had a bunch that were unrepairable. The Capt of the ship was fired.
