If that is a 120V outlet, the best case is that it is a 20 amp circuit and fed by 12 gauge wire.

If my math is correct, you will need a 240V feed at 40 amps (33 amp load) including the usual safety factor.

I will let you Google for the required wire size for the above, and hope that your conduit is both passable and large enough for the new wire.

Disclaimer that I'm not an electrician, but had to install a 240V/40A outlet for my 32A EV charger.....
