I'm probably the last person to finally hear this lovely song (
Our House by Crosby, Stills & Nash) due to my watching House of Ninjas. Anyway, the beautiful chorus comes around and it goes:
"Our house is a very, very, very fine house
With two cats in the yard
Life used to be so hard
Now everything is easy 'cause of you
And our
La-la, la-la-la-la-la..."
So, what the heck is the 'la la la' supposed to symbolize?
EDIT: Oh, almost forgot to add that this song was about Nash's relationship at the time w Joni Mitchell when they went out and bought a vase for their California house. Pretty neat.
Drive is my fave song from The Cars and I noticed that Ben sang some lyrics incorrectly but for whatever reason they left it in: this was confirmed when Ric sang later on and at 2:44 it's correctly sung as:
"...who's gonna hold you down
when you shake..."
instead of the recording's at 2:39 which sounds something like "...when you lose"?
What stuff have you noticed in some songs?
EDIT: if you could find the clip, that would be cool too.
