Did you know Buffalo Springfield's song "For What it's Worth" was about the Sunset Strip curfew riots? Of course the riots were a little before my time but I used to hang out there, and Hollywood blvd. as a teenager. Wild and exciting times for sure.
That 6 year difference was huge in terms of music. I loved 70s music too. I did know For What it's Worth was written about the Strip curfew. I was there at that time. I never saw riots but did see increased police presence and some clubs couldn't let kids under 21 in anymore. We moved to the Hullabaloo Club at the other end of Sunset. The Strip changed and not for the better after that. I quit going in '67 when I met my first long-term girlfriend. We are still together!
