If you haven't changed your diet, that's the problem. I know people who go to the gym 4-5 times a week, but the only things that show are bigger arms and chest. Everything else remains the same due to their poor diet.
3 times a week, assuming each session is a good work out, should yield some result after 2 months. Not much, but you should be able to see the change.
