Theres no reason to separate the two forums, its already been discussed (
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29033 ), but basicly they are the same car, the only major difference between the cars is external appearance. The things most of us talk about (technical details) are shared between the two cars, so its stupid to lop-off half brains involved in any given discussion. If things ever got to the point that it was too crowded we might consider separating things on some level, but for the most part things are going well, we have good discussions, tons of info is being shared, news, etc..
