Greed... Cheaper to produce, so profits will rise. They say 60% doesn't even know their 1-Series is RWD, but I don't think I believe that. It's very obvious in feeling of all BMWs and people know :-)
Just more marketing propaganda like the F8x M3 losing hundreds of pounds. My wife knows little about cars but knows BMW is known for rear wheel drive and doesn't make a front wheel drive car. If they wanna make FWD vehicles just brand/sell them as Mini. What's the big deal? They're already FWD
