Hard to believe I've been registered here since 2006??? Just picked up our whopping
third BMW. We don't buy cars very often.
Was all researched up to do an ED lease on a 2007 E60 530i way back in the day, but the timing slipped into 2008, did not want to deal with the nightmare I knew the first-gen N54 would be, and also didn't want the detuned 528i, so called it off.
Eventually bought a 2011 E93 335i which I still have and love.
Bought for my wife a 2012 E70 X5d the next year, which was fantastic. Sold that after 6 years for a Chevy Suburban which has been my daily the past 5 years, and my wife switched over to driving the E93 every day. I had planned to replace the E93 with an F80 M3, but bought the Suburban instead. They were the same price at the time! What can I say, other than life happens!
No real time for forums the past 5-10 years and just kinda faded away. Life has been super busy, but back again having just picked up a used CPO MY22 G05 X5 with 3k miles as my wife's new daily. The E93 is still great, but it's needing a lot of shop time and TLC at its age, so the G05 will be much better and more practical for daily duties.
Will save the E93 for fun and sunny days.
Nice to be back on here again. This place has grown and evolved a ton!
