It seems to me GM is moving the Z06 more towards achieving lap times, than 1/4 times. Not saying it can't put down a good 1/4, it just wan't designed for it. It is a track monster and will be putting down some insane lap times.
I really don't see why the Camaro can't focus more on the muscle car theme, aka 1/4 mile straight line speed. The Z06 has moved more in the direction of their GT racing program.
