Yes My hesitation was that you replace the large filter housing with just an exposed filter. I thought about maybe measuring and 3D printing some sort of hood or vent just to keep water off it when washing my car (direct spray, at least).

But sounds like it really doesn't matter as much as I thought...

As far as wind noise, I did not notice much if any at all. If there is an increase it is marginal, and less so than the engine noise. But I haven't noticed any. I have only driven 100 miles or so
