I guess my real question was whether that fuse is "hot in start." I was thinking that the motion detection would require continuous power; however, the camera may have a battery for that. I cannot really find information about the function specific to the HP F210.

I also want to know whether I can splice and solder the power cable myself to add in a fuse tap. Some websites offer a kit for this with what looks like some form of power converter (https://thedashcamstore.com/product_...ni-fuse-5v.jpg) but I would like to avoid paying for that.

Last, I assume that all the fuses are ATO fuses?
