What would you suggest as a beginner's serious digital camera? Is it possible to get anything "decent" around $800-1,000? Forgive my ignorance. PM me, I don't want to threadjack.
[Edit] I did some quick looking, some of you are probably laughing about now. Looks like $1,000 won't buy me much in this hobby/profession.
