this is highly untrue, granted I've only sailed carnival. Currently done 3 cruises on carnival, my ex gf while we were dating sailed on all of them with me and in the time frame went on 1 Royal and 1 Norwegian. She said there isn't too much of a difference, at least not to justify cost. Look at carnival breeze, magic and even sunshine. The ships are beautiful and up to par with the rest of the competing cruise lines. Hadn't had one REAL complaint on the cruises I've been on and I have my 4th cruise booked with carnival at the end of this year. It's all about ports and at the time I'm going 1 extra day AND one extra port of call was $100 cheaper per person on carnival than the other companies on their Breeze ship. People need to wake up, while the ship is definitely a major roll in a cruise, the excursion, ports and night life are what will make the trip. All food is mostly similar anyway.... Do whats cheapest assuming the ships available are newer.

I guess being 25 influences my decision a lot too, so I may be biased.
