Villeneuve knew perfectly how Schumacher had violently snatched the 1994 WDC title chance away from Damon Hill (controversial WDC title of that "7-time WDC"). Villeneuve was warned how machiavellistic Schumacher could react when WDC stakes were high. And he was wise to anticipate.
