Hey, limp mode is safe right? I am sure he won't object to that. Having random limp mode is exactly that, it's may fail at the least convenient time. Love to see him walk the walk.
i like his quote (from nytimes article):

“When the high pressure pump fails completely it is driveable under less power. It is essentially a pretty good driving mode. It reduces the power.”
