I use a standing desk at work. I have severe chronic pain all over my back and right side. It helps avoid compression but that is it. The real answer is take breaks and do something. I never do this myself, but when I do its worth it 100% of the time. Just go walk around and get a drink of water even. Just don't be a statue and you'll see improvement generally.
