I'm not sure if it will ever develop into anything or if it is just a superficial part of the stories, but I noticed that they have flipped the timeline between modern & 1950s each season.
I was hooked on AHS from the first time I saw the original trailer. Haven't missed an episode and usually each new one starts a water cooler conversation the next few days at work.
