+1.. I had many a BMW with 100K miles and even sold a few with 160K+ miiles. I am a DIY whenever possible though.. I say if you area decent DIY'er give it a good once over, all fluids changed, suspension not needing any immediate attention, cooling addressed, etc..

However, if you're not a DIY, I would suggest as mentioned a Honda, Toyota, Mazda, etc... No point in having your precious dealing with the quirks these cars have.. G/L...
