Maintenance on a $100,000 car is maintenance on a $100,000 car, even if you only paid $35k for it. I had an E60 M5, I loved everything about the car except the transmission, it isn't good and it will cost you money.
The V10 loves fuel, it loves oil, and it loves rear tires.
As long as you have your eyes (and wallet) wide open get the M and enjoy, one of the last great BMW engines. If not, get the Vette, it will be cheaper to drive and maintain.
