I have huge interest in the technology as the CF technology and the plug-in hybrid power trains that includes a gasser. Love the 918, LaFerrari and P1. It give me hope that great motoring can be had in the future and still fulfill regulations.
However I will not pay more for less and I dislike new technology that solves problems that isn't there and add adds isolation ( EPS, EDC ) to name two.
The i8s problem is not the technology or that it's a hybrid IMO. It's that it looks and performance relatively soft and weak in relation to it's price. There's also something non badass about it. Like a Goofy space car or hot rodded Prius. I'm no fan. Now if M can get their hands on it, things would likely change but so will the price...
