This is what Matt is saying and is no different than what 335i tuned onwers have been saying for years. The FEELING of fast is just as important as being fast. That is why you have so many complaints of exhaust not being sporty enough.

A tuned 335i out accelerates an E46 M3 pretty easily. The Fiesta ST is a 6.7s 0-60 car. Any way you slice it, the E46 M3 is getting to 60 MPH almost 2 seconds faster. Even when you factor in the turbocharger torque, your butt dyno is going to tell the difference by a good margin. Farrah is just dramatizing.
I owned a 135i and have driven an E46 M3. IMO, my 135i felt quicker than the M3, even though I know the M3 was just as fast. I also owned a 2006 GTI 2.0T, which was a 6s 0-60 car. The difference between that car and the M3 or 135i was night and day.
I'm going to go drive a Fiesta ST this weekend, because based on the amount of "fun factor" everyone is granting it here, I'm hoping I can rent it out as a cure for depression on weekends.
