Yeah but BMW always issues these on a rolling basis...doubtless to prevent service centers from being completely swamped all at once.

I wonder if the problem is more expansive than they originally thought back in July 13' or if USA Today screwed up the dates?
It's happened before (with other recalls) that the 'affected models' listing expanded over time (now including models to 2012?). Which has me interested since my E90 was produced just before the ones noted. I wonder what the change was, exactly... a new supplier for the bolts? A new fastening technique??
