Toyota is a very innovative company they are the leaders in hybrid technology.
Who better to align with than the people who put the first Prius Hybrid in to production and have since progressed the technology to be the best in the business.

The synergy allows greater economies of scale to offer features you do not expect in this segment. You are talking about a sports car that will be revolutionary , advanced and even be more precise and lighter than high end sports cars.

For the customer who is also an enthusiast that is going to be great news.
And for a new age customer looking for sustainability they will have the eDrive model.

Interestingly enough I was at an industry symposium and it was refreshing to hear that many in the industry believe that BMW has taken the innovation crown from Audi in their investment in developing lightweight technology for application in future BMWs. BMW are also smart to align with other areas of industry to jointly supply CFRP to other forms of transportation such as the aero industry.

Why is this significant?
BMW begin to recoup their initial investment.
