They can be ungirly if you get the right color. IMO that gunmetal grey looks pretty manly. Color with the Mini means everything. Honestly I'm not a fan of the exterior styling of the Mini, and I understand where he is coming from by wanting a 350z/evo/wrx.
If the Mini is a an almost absolute yes for you, then get him a color that isn't girly (grey/black/white if modded).
