I use my iphone 5 cable to plug in and listen to music, but I can not operate the steering wheel controls for the music on my iphone when plugged in, do you know why? Thanks!

If you can plug in your iphone via your USB port in the CENTER console (6FL option), the steering wheel button will work. Heck stuff will also pop up on the idrive.
