Gents the wiring for the paddle shift are different between the F15 (X5) and the F25 (X3) as I found out the hard way. Took me a year to eventually get it resolved.

There is a good chance it will be the same for the F2x/F3x. I also think the paddle circuit boards part # may differ and in switch resistance as well.

The X5 has a BDC module, the X3 a FRM module and the F3x uses the FEM/REM to communicate with the various steering wheel and body functions. They all communicate differently with other modules I recommend you source your steering wheel from the same type of car to reduce the risk of incompatibility and problems occurring.
