I think many people saw this shit coming before the merger--the impossibility of combining the two forums and retaining their respective attributes. One had to become dominant. Honestly, it was brought up and then just glossed over like it was no big deal, but it really was inevitable.
Also, I was happy to see that I created a thread about this yesterday that was subsequently locked.
