The E36 M3 was a great car, but I am sure your memory of it is better then
it actually was. Or maybe it was just the "funnest" car at that time.
I had one that I put around 65,000 miles on and it was great, to this day I shake my head at the foolish things I did behind the wheel of that car and got away with, young and foolish (at least my parents had the sense to let me go to Skip Barber School, that definitely saved a couple of cars...if not lives). I'm rambling like an old man.
Point is, I sold the car to a good friend, then drove it a couple years later and it just felt like an old car, if you drove one now it would not feel special at all.
