Probably an audio edit to help the viewer decipher the two different cars . The M3 sounds raw while the Z4 sounds advanced and refined. In reality the two cars will sound slightly different from the tweaks the factory have made but you'd have to have a good ear to notice the difference.

Also guys, Z4 GT3 and Z4 GTE are greatly different at this point. The preparation rules are different, and it almost creates $200k difference in the bill, GTE being higher. Think of 911 GT3 R or Cup vs. the 911 GT3 RSR...RSR is manically wider.

The M3 had larger surface area so was allowed more HP.

There is no reason to go FI in a series that regulates power output. If you can make your HP normally aspirated, it is much more reliable for endurance racing. Porsche is more than happy running NA and will with the 991 in competition. They are known for their reliability, especially at the 24hrs. Are they running two extra cylinders? Terrible analogies if you ask me. Last edited by M3_WC; 02-14-2013 at 12:29 PM.. |

BMW M should've made the Z4M limited production version (like 1M)
This Z is one of the most beautiful BMWs ever made, really sad to let this one go without the M version. |
