Nice review, I am still setting mine up to my specs. I notice they are still a little bouncy while i'm driving anything you could recommend?

OP, how is the quality - is it stainless steel and can withstand cold winters of Canada without rusting?
Is it easy to adjust front and rear?

Whats the big deal? Go to turner and spend $75 extra bucks on rear upper strut mounts and you're good to go EDC or not. KW doesn't come w/ EDC modules either.. they just happen two have two different strut mount setups.

Great review, we sell a ton of these for older models such as E28s and also brand new F30s for a reason.
Every set we have sold have had excellent reviews and feedback. Last edited by Sean@PSI; 04-24-2014 at 10:42 PM.. |

seems like BC racing is continually improving the quality of their products. I may buy a set with 600/900 swift springs to compare them against my clubsports at the track. After doing some research it seems there are nothing but great reviews.
I have BC monoforged wheels on my car and i love them. they are super light and strong.

For someone eager to trash the brand (BMW), I wouldn't buy these. That will just give you more ammunition to bash your car...
That said, if 'track' is your main concern, get the clubsports or better. The only reason to get the V3's would be the warranty, otherwise, between these two, you are going to infer a comparo on your own. I doubt you will find anyone who has run these back to back, moreso on an M3.

So does the EDC work with these or no? From what I read they will bolt up... But end up with an EDC code, which would have to be coded to turn off edc. So is that a no? OP

I have personally compared the KW Clubsports to my BC Racing ER setup with Swift upgrade. Quality is identical and performance wise I could not tell between the two. These are also ran on a majority of the cars in Formula Drift and those withstand that track abuse very well. |

Because of your review I've decided to go with BC Coilovers with the swift spring option. Should be here in a week. I have 150,000 miles on my Stock EDC shocks.

I ran BC Type BR coilovers on my Evo back in 08. BC (Bor Chuan) is the same company that makes Megan Racing suspension. The Type BR is a newer version of the same Megan product.
It is fine for street use, comfortable. On track though... the shocks overheat fast and dampening falls off quickly. After track use, the ride becomes harsh and bouncy. I worked with BC to try to warranty my shocks as they were worn out before 10k miles. They refused my warranty because it was not leaking... shocks can be worn without leaking! I wanted to believe in the product so I purchased a set of new shocks from BC. Conveniently, replacements are priced about $100 per new shock... maybe they know these need frequent replacment!? Another 10k miles later, they were worn just the same way. Again, refused warranty on the coilovers. After that, I gave up on them. I gave them 2 chances and purchased 2 sets from BC, both lasted less than 10k miles of usage. They will never see another dollar from me. If you are going BC Racing, save your money and get something better.

someone sold these bc's that slammed your car to the ground because they wouldnt go low enough?? the only way to go lower would be to flip the car over and attempt to drive it on its roof.

Bor Chuann's web site is here: http://www.bcec.com.tw/history/company.html They custom manufacture products for wholesale: http://www.bcec.com.tw/service/service.html Megan's suspension is made by BC and sold under the Megan name. Other lower end suspension kits such as the Apexi ExV are also made by BC. Some tell tale signs are the same suspension designs with different colors and made in Taiwan. Megan and Apexi uses the V1 and V2 designs for their suspension. BC Racing uses the Type BR, ER etc. This differentiates their product and BC doesn't directly compete with the products their clients sell. I can contact BC and have them make me a "ZK super racing coilover" with large ZK decals on them and an obnoxious pink and gold color scheme... they'll make it for me if I order enough quantity. Such is the way of bulk product manufacturing. Besides BC, there is another large generic suspension manufacturer out of South Korea. This is where stuff like Stance, K sport and others come from.
