Better to have love and lost, then to have never loved at all, I suppose.
I never agreed with that quote " better to have love lost, then to have never loved at all".

That's nonsense in my book because losing a loved one sucks, and takes a lot of strength and effort to overcome. That is why it is better to not have loved, than to lose it. My humble opinion, of course.

That's acceptable. Losing a loved one does suck, probably the hardest thing I've ever had to do to date, but you know what, at the end of the day, I have learned so much from loving this person, that I can take some valuable information from that time to be a better person in the future.

I completely agree with the last sentence. My college crush, who turned out to be a big bitch of a person, I still look back at the short happy several weeks of the 'chase'.. even though she was playing me all along. Wouldn't change it for a thing.
I don't like that person now, never would.. guess it's right time right place, right purpose.. everything else seems an afterthought.

My long term gf - did alot of first-time things .. it was a full relationship .. but lol it was the sex that attracted me first, and last yr of college.. don't regret any of that either .. just honestly two totally different feelings
So is it a 'bonus' or does it really matter even?

Billup, you're young man.. so much time to do what you want. That's enough to get you over anything.. not to be insensitive, hold in there

I do online dating with the best of us, but you're pathetic for saying/doing this before you've even met her.

Anywho, love is a fallacy. Figment of the human mind. Just enhanced feeling of infatuation that later dies and fizzles into codependency.
I know what you just went through/are currently going through, but I hope don't you really believe that.

Don't feel bad at all, Grim. I am in my 30's as well. I can admit to having my heart broken by what I thought was love on a couple of occasions, but being single with no responsibility other than to yourself has it's perks as well.

When the time feels right to settle in, you will know. Until that time comes, just enjoy the freedom and have fun... whatever is fun for you.

I'm sorry but that's just freakin retahded.

You're going to skip out on one of life's greatest gifts over the fear of something that hasn't happened and may not ever for you?
Is it just with love or do you live the rest of your life in fear too?
I'm kinda surprised to hear this from a self-proclaimed samurai
