Clarkson has made fun of just about everyone, and he says it deadpan so he seems more serious than he is, IMO. Ripping on the US and "burger munching Californians" are his regular fare. That show has thrived mostly because of its humor (unlike almost all other TV car shows which seem to rely on statistic-spouting experts, photography and tiresmoke).

I love the one where they drove through Alabama with "Hillary for President" spray painted on the side. Lol I guess that's racist somehow.
