The general guidelines is around the 20 minute mark, the body switches to the aerobic state, burning fat stored in cells for energy. I would shoot for a pace that keeps your heart rate up for at least 30 minutes and try to extend eventually for 40-45 min.

A heavy bag? Be sure you know how to make a good fist and throw a punch. A bad punch could result in a sprain or a broken hand/wrist.

you mean the bag hurts you more than you hurt the bag.

do they have trainers at your gym? A punching bag is a HELLA GOOD workout, but you need to know what you're doing. Easy to hurt your hands/wrist. Great stress relief too!

I never deadlifted or squated but will add squats after a month or so of training... I think I will hurt my back if I try to deadlift. Do you use dumbells for the bench press or the bar? Last edited by mpimping; 01-08-2008 at 02:12 AM.. |

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend for you to do deadlifts because that will mess up your back more. One thing that deadlifts are doing for me is making me walk very upright since my lower back is getting really strong. Take it easy when you first start. |

---- for GNC stuff I take Dom Ease, Musletech: naNO (nitrogen), and Musletech: Aplodan I'm not a big guy but I was a skinny lil shit in high school--even though I played high school. I started working out more and more when I got older and still wasn't "bulking" up, part of it is my diet lol. Anyway its helped if you like at what I use to be that and the uncle sam work out plan
