I had my dealer told me I was going to void warranty on the diff because the tyres were wider than stock.

I will be putting the stockies back on to make them happy.

Just need to get answers on these two questions.
- Has anyone got problems with Speedometer, EBD, ABS, or traction control?
- Does having these tires that are outside of BMW recommendation create any problems with warranty or insurance?

Hmmmm.....
Have you asked the dealer if you void warranty on paint if you don't use his brand of soap?

I think it's a "cover my ass statement" from the dealer.

just throwing another data point out there - i picked up some OEM 437m's and am running 245/35 with 285/30. Lowered on B14 coilovers with probably half a finger of wheel gap. No rubbing.

Just a F30 335i. I used to run 275/30 which fit comfortably. Figured I would try to push the aggressiveness and went to 285 and still no issues. I think I've seen a few others also fit 285/30s.

I think a lot of people try to keep the 35 profile in the rears and then the max you can really fit is 265/35. If you drop to a 30 profile, you can go wider at the expense of a little sidewall.

235/35 & 265/30 M4S vs 235/40 & 265/35 M4S vs 235/35 & 265/30
Which one would be recommended on stock sportline F31 suspension?

Pros & cons of both of them?
Anyone who has any experience on these combinations?

Got 16 hours to place an order on these wheels. I can get any size Michelin tires for the same cheap price.

If stock suspension, 235/40/19-265/35/19, will look best. The other sizes will have increased wheel gaps.

With stock suspension we are talking about sport suspension.
RWD Sport line = Comes with sport suspension.
RWD M-Sport line = Comes with sport suspension.

It looks the best but performance wise? Will they rub? I read that some people had rubbing problems but might have been 4 series only?

Edit: Thinking 245/35 and 265/35 or 245/35 and 275/35 now. Might take the weekend to decide instead. All help is appreciated and as mentioned I get all Michelin for the same price. Inspired by R99, his F31 looks amazing.

245/35 & 265/35 is the best size to run, providing your car is NOT xDrive...

If you have xDrive - then purchase 235/40 & 265/35

RWD so I'll go for 245/35 and 265/35 Michelin 4S. Makes more sense than 235/35 and 265/30. Especially in the rear. Thanks.

Are any of the replica brands better than others? I need to order a set and they're made by Replika, DAI and RTX at dealers in Canada.

The machined face is listed as a summer wheel, but is anyone using them for winter in salty areas?

Do you have pics of your setup that you can share with us? Also, how do you like the B14 coilovers?

This is on my 340i RWD F31

I run a 255/35 up rear and i dont think with out rolling the arch or running some aggressive camber you will get away with anything bigger on the rear rim.

Even a size up to a 265/35 will rub imo! I want to as i want to remove some of the stretch but as above its not going to work.

225/40 on the front fits fine but imo its stretched more than it needs to be. A 235/40 would fit fine and still leave you loads of room

Heres a photo of my car to show how it sits. Like i said im low on the coilovers, not mega low but pretty low!
Do you have any more pics of your car? I've recently picked up a silver 340i touring, have a spare set of 437s in my garage and was thinking to go with the same tyres you have. I will change suspension, but with also having the M4 in the garage I am going more for a softer option that the ACS RS I ran on my F31 335d previously, so possibly Birds B3 or Bilstein B16PSS10 Comfort, so nothing as low as yours. What suspension are you running?

I do but only a few!

Its on Bilstein B14's the ride is firm but its nothing like as firm as my mates M3 Comp! It rides nice tbh!

I think im going to raise it up, the splitter hasnt fended well!
You will need to lower it to let the wheels tuck in a bit, as at stock height they do have a bit of poke to them!

So everyone’s talking about the look. Which does look amazing but..... how is the ride? Better, worse, same? Is this package heavier than stock? Wonder how the car performs in the rain.

Depends what wheels you're replacing? I'd expect the ride to be better than most other 19inch wheels as 437s are forged, so strong and light. Compared to a 403 wheel they're about 3kg lighter per wheel, which is a lot of unsprung weight to save.

I have 437Ms on a 435d XDrive, currently running Front:235 40 19
Rear: 265 35 19

But my fronts rub very slightly on the fender so I'm thinking of changing to:

235 35 19 fronts
265 30 19 rear.

Does anyone have experience of running this set up? What is ride quality like? And is there a risk of damaging the rims with such a low profile?

Thanks

Um, you can't run "235 30 19 fronts and 265 30 19 at the rear" on a Xdrive. The tire diameter is WAY too different between front and rear. Infact even what you have now is more than the 1% difference (but just barely).

Sorry that was a typo. I meant 235 35 19 front and 265 30 19 rear.

I think that still out of spec for Xdrive. I believe its supposed to be 1% maximum difference between front and rear overall tire diameter. Math based on tire sizes is 82.25 versus 79.5. However you should still check actual overall tire diameter for your specific tires as it may differ slightly.
