I needed new tyres, and went through all the options of run flat v non run flat. I went with Star marked Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 3 in the staggered 19" setup. The car was fitted with Bridgestone tyres that I have had on my last 3 BMW's, and they are a hard wearing tyre for sure, but generally crap in every other area, ride, handling etc. Now the F1's are a revelation. Road noise is much improved, wet grip is much better and the car generally feels great. The outgoing tyres still had around 4mm of tread all round. I am happy with my decision to stick with the run flats.
