N20 Rev Limiter

Hey everyone, I have a new to me 328i m sport, 6 speed. I like the car so far- except it sounds like a sewing machine compared to my 2006 330i that I put 200k on lol.

That said, in first gear, I noticed the fuel cut/rev limiter showed 7200. Is that right? Yes I know the motor is out of steam revving it that high, but it makes me wonder if it already has a tune. I figured at 7k it would be done.

Thanks all-

The N20 engine produces its peak torque from 1250-4800rpm and peak power output from 5000-6000rpm. By 6500rpm it is probably running out of breath, with a noticeable drop in power and torque output.

^^ Yes thats what I figured, I’m wondering what the hard rev liniter is stock, whether its 7000 or 7200, simply to know if this thing had a tune before I bought it.
