Yes going sideways and catching a bump is the worst... I destroyed my E36 race car hitting a wall after trying to save a slide, it happens so fast especially when you are driving on the edge of grip.

What the best way to recover from that situation where the yaris was over extended in his slide?
He shouldn't have turned his wheel once he relized the drift was too early |

As hard as it is to do, don't steer into the turn, straighten your wheel and the car will come around and stop. Honestly though, it's nearly impossible to teach yourself to do it, it's so engrained in you to counter-steer.
