Dodgy Sunroof Switch

The sunroof switch on my F32, which I'm assuming is the same for most if not all F cars, has started to play up.

I can press to open, or slide to close, but sliding back to put the open the roof fully seems to have a tendency to hesitate, almost as if the contact within the switch itself isn't making proper contact.

On an older car I would just open it up, clean the contacts and see if that sorted it, but with this, the switch is part of the interior light and alarm sensor unit, so I'm not sure if the switch can even be open and checked.

Has anyone had this issue and been able to fix without replacing the unit, as I assume the switch can be swapped out?
