Recently my 328i has been making this grinding/stress noise after being fully warmed up and driving for about 20-30 minutes. It doesn’t happen every time I drive, but it’s frequent. When the AC/heat is OFF and I’m in D or R, the noise happens, but if switch to N or P it goes away. When the AC/heat is ON then the noise is there in P, N, D and R. 183k miles, runs smooth otherwise, all fluids are full. 2011 bmw 328i x drive. Any idea what’s up?

The video is kind of quiet but you can really hear it at the end of the clip when I move phone outside of cabin

Ouch on the second clip does it occur when the AC system is active? Sounds like it could be chatter while the AC compressor is cycling on/off but need more info to be sure.

That second clip the AC was on. But it happens both when the AC is on and off.
