Mineral white will definitely be more rare, but I really like Alpine White. I think very few auto manufacturers do white well and AW is an exception. I'd pick AW over MW.

While I love Mineral White on the 7 Series, I think Alpine looks a lot better on the M3. I was unsure when I ordered my car and was really glad when I saw the two next to each other.

Mineral looks great in photos. I'd have to see it in person.

My Mineral White M3 Convertible

I just got my Mineral White M3 last week and I love the color. It's not a pearl, but a metallic (silver flakes, despite what the camera shows in attached closeup. This imparts a glow to the reflected sunlight at certain angles. It's a pretty cool effect in my humble opinion.

BTW, if anyone is thinking of buying an M3 (or any other BMW) and you are in the SF Bay area, I highly recommend Michael Borbet at BMW of Mountain View. I had a great buying experience from ordering through delivery!

I agree. The color lends a different attitude to the 7 than it does to the M3.

More AW/MW Comparison Shots

What's up guys I drove down to a local dealer over here that had an e93 mineral white m3 so I could get an idea of how it will look on my future e92 I just ordered and it happened to be parked next to a 335is. These are iPhone pics and they don't really do it justice, but they'll suffice. It was a cloudy day so I managed to catpure shots in the shade as well as direct sunlight. I've noticed that the mw looks brighter than aw in the shade, but in direct sunlight the aw is brighter. First time seeing a 335is, looks pretty great actually.

Overcast:

Direct Sunlight:

Can't really go wrong with either color!

BW is an Individual color. MW is the new standard metallic color option on the E92/3. Biglare's car is BW.

Wow that Mineral White looks awesome. It seems to be a bit darker, compared to brilliant white metallic!
Or was brilliantwhite replaced by Mineralwhite cause it looked to similar to Alpinewhite?
