My first was a 335d SE Touring; brilliant car that we kept for almost six years.
Replaced with an M135i that up the fun level several stages; hard to fault it for our needs.

Definitely impressed with BMWs.

My first BMW was a 2011 335i convertible, M-Sport, black sapphire, PPK, BMW PE, purchased on 10/21/2011. On 10/13/2015 upgraded to a 2016 M4 convertible, MW, SO interior, 19" black 437 wheels, DCT. Sweet ride.

My first of over ten BMWs so far was a 1999 E46 Orient Blue 323i sedan. I thought I was cool putting the Z8 wheels on it. Bought it on Dec 31, 1999, right before Y2K!

My first BMW was a new red 1971 2002. I had it for ten fun years as my daily driver. It also saw the track several times and was auto crossed.

I just enlisted in the USAF, had a rare 2-week break after boot-camp. I called best HS chum, now working at Ron Tonkin Import Center in east Portland-the BMW store at the time, also Lotus, among others.

Next day I'm there mid morning. He lined up 2002 tii silver and a base model also silver. Airmen pay hardly supported a 'new anything'. $3,600 MSRP IIRC, financed...and the silver /SR base was mine. Had it for 72k miles. Replaced with a 1975, different color. Both were fantastic.

Left days later, 700 mi showing. Drove to Shreveport, LA, maybe 2100 mi as I recall. Monumental drive.

No matter the nearest dealer was Richardson, TX. My 3000mi service I drove there on a Monday morning. Arrived just as they needed xtra hands to return vehicles from the major mall there; new '73 all-marques cars show displayed that prior weekend. Lot full of new every model imaginable.

Walking among half dozen remaining BMW 4-door models, GMgr unhesitatingly threw me the keys to the lone coupe: 1973 manual tranny INCA Gold 3.0 CSi.

I still remember that steering feel, the dynamics, the ride, the huge steering wheel, the creamy ride/handling balance.

I faintly recall an intoxicating aroma as I pen this... the richest, supple, tan leather ever put in a vehicle.

My first three BMW's have all been motorcycles 2003 K1200rs rode her for 9 years wish I had never got rid of her but my next bike was even mo fun 2012 R1200 GSA traded it in on a 2016 triple black R1200 gsw. Finally bought a 2015 X5 hope its as fun as the bike's.

First one was a 2000 X5 which was great, then traded it for a 2001 330 coupe(wife got an SUV), then traded that for an 05 545 which BMW did a lease swap because it was a nightmare for an 06 550i(winning). Took a break for financial reasons and now back in a 2014 535i. Wife had a 2014 X3 which we traded in for a 2015 428 gran coupe. Now our son has an 07 E92 335...we might be a BMW family but my rock crawling Wrangler breaks things up a bit!!

My first was a 1970 BMW 2002 in Bristol Grey. I bought it slightly used in Feb 1971. I do not have a picture of it.
My current BMW is number 18 and I am thinking of a new one (possibly F30 340i xDrive).
They do become habit-forming..!!

Got my first BMW back in 2009, an E90 328i (pic below). Currently have an F30 328i which I'll likely be replacing with an M235i later this year.
