I have always liked the 370z. I came close to buying one in 2009, and 2012-2013.
I think the exterior and interior looks great, as long as you get the better package. In my area you dont see to many 370zs on the road. So they are pretty sexy when i see one. A friend of mine got one, and after driving it. I am happy i went with the M3. |

On the road yes the M3 is better. But for a track car the Z would be better. Much smaller and lighter, lower to the ground, and actually has a decent BBk from the factory. Those sliding calipers on the M3 are a total joke.

I don't even think they are even in the same category. I am not a BMW fanbois, I like all types of cars. I just feel the Nismo doesn't even compare to an M3. I just can't wrap myself around the way the car looks, its all about what you think though man. Dave

I had a 370z and now that I have the M3, I'd have to go with M3.
370z was a fun car and the engine was bulletproof. I had no issues with the car. Stepping into an M3 however, it just felt better to me. Plus it has a real trunk haha. The M3 rides better as a DD and I have just as much fun, if not more in the M3. I think most everyone has already pointed out the main things to consider regarding cost and maintenance, its all up to you on what's more important to you. Its your money so pick whatever puts a bigger smile on your face when you walk up to it and get behind the wheel. |

I've read twin turbo kits make it a mini skyline, great power. If your not going to heavily mod, I'd stick w m3. I'm a fan of the motor but not so much of the z's body style at all.

Power is less, however cost is less. Low risk, engine is bullet proof unlike our ticking time bomb bearing grenades...did I say power is less. That is what stopped me. I am still considering Vettes, 2013 GT500, Challenger SRT8, 370z, CTSV....I have test drove most of them and I just couldn't pull the trigger on giving up my M3. Not yet.... Thats how good it is.. |
