I agree with and have witness much of what's been discussed in this thread. It's the reason you'll likely find me creeping the speed limit in the right lane about 85% of the time. It just doesn't pay to drive like an a$$hole. People are out of control.

Prius is the new minivan. People that don't like cars or driving buy those kinds of "appliance" vehicles. They'd really prefer not to be bothered with driving and have no interest in learning any driving skills. Of course that's a stereotype, but there is often some truth in stereotypes. As a sport biker, I watch the minivans like a hawk since they have pulled more bonehead moves around me than all others combined. Coincidence or ???

Swiss AI = generally rentals so probably lost,
Swiss AG = really bad drivers,
Swiss GE FR VD = French speaking cantons = do not respect speed limits.

Foreign drivers:
B = Belgium generally do not know how to drive
I= Italy = would drive fast but their Fiat Panda can't do more than 110km/h
GB = driver is handicapped by having right hand drive so overtaking is a major debate with the missus
NL = same colour plate as GB but with left hand drive, unfortunately mountains are foreign to them so overtaking is also frightening.

Canada - there are two classes of driver:
Country drivers are courteous, friendly and competent.
City drivers are enraged maniacs intent upon killing themselves and other motorists.

But I think the traffic congestion breeds a lot of anger. Cops really need to enforce left lane laws. Women in general...suck as drivers. I find a lot more text. I witnessed one woman who never picked her head up while driving for close to a mile...she was texting. Lucky traffic never stopped.

Yesterday some people at an intersection had the right-of-way before I made my turn, I don't cut off pedestrians, so I waited. I noticed the guy behind me flailing about, apparently he wasn't too happy. He was literally shaking one fist while giving me the finger with the other. Once we made the turn he almost ran into a car after he flew by me then immediately had to stop because of another light...I dont understand the whole anger thing, I just ended up chuckling...
