Personally I prefer Danzig's song mother and even though I appreciate the historical meaning of mothers day as a way to point out that we do other shit too but to grow our asses after stretching our vaginas, nowadays it would be more needed to have raise your damn kids and stop crying because your life is over - day.
Motherhood is no task. The things I've gotten in return are far better than the things i valued before kids. I would say it would be better to celebrate the fathers who take time to ensure we still get to be us even after brats and who share the responsibility of the daily upbringing of the tiny monsters.

I got tickets to their concert in the end of July. I can't wait even if most of my driving playlist consists of his music, and those have been lullabies for my kids.
Good to see someone else here knows the good shit.

Sunday is Mother's Day, Mexican Mother's Day( it's not always on Sunday) AND my anniversary. Later this month is also my wife's B-day. I need a friend in the diamond business. . . .

Now, grimglock would end up strangling me for my both loud and inappropriate taste of music since it would fill his head with ideas he's not ready to handle. I think I'll go alone again, thanks for the idea though! That way bears don't have hard time choosing between meal options.

How about me? Can I come. I'll punch that bear in the face, pick you up into my arms, and run off into the wintery sunset together where we will build an igloo.

As grimlock pointed out this is about mothers day not feeding the Nordic wonders. I do think my mother would consider me ending up as lunch as a really good gift.

I hate to tell you this V1, but from the era of Beatles the good shit came from other artists. Best thing Lennon ever did was that Christmas song that is the reason I have no radios on for 4 months in a year.

Lups was going there to die anyway, so I immediately discounted her, and TXStyle is too big to run fast. And plus, if I was the bear, I'd go for the individual who appeared like he might last more than one meal. |

My Mother's Day keeps getting better and better.
Yesterday I had a dozen roses and chocolates delivered to my office. Since I am a single Mother and Scarlett is too young to make me a card, I honestly did not expect anything at all. It made me cry. They were from my older sister. I was so excited about them that I posted the flowers on FB with a little message very similar to what I just wrote. My Mom stayed with me last night to baby sit Scarlett while I went out . This morning I wake up to a hand written Mother's Day Card and Scarlett's hand traced inside. Very sloppy but soooo cute and meaningful. (Every year I trace my hand in my Mother's birthday cards, I have been doing it all my life) Scarlett also said her first words this morning. "Maaaameeeee! Maaammmaa. Mama. Mama" she kept babbling over and over to me. She started crawling this week too. I cant stop crying happy tears. |

I wasn't sure what to get my mother this year. I ended up getting this picture put on a fleece blanket with Happy Mothers Day above it. She opened it the other day, I told her to return it because she broke gift rules. She still has it, I'm too far to do anything about it. Hmpf. Spare your comments, I know I was adorable. |

Yup, you're right. You were a cute kid. I looked like an octopus with too long limbs. no wonder my mom doesn't like me, she hates sea creatures.

Only a wee bit insane. Keeps life interesting. I could see some pretty interesting conversations happening between us at the bar. At least you went the other way around, octopus to a beautiful lady. I went from a cute kid to..., still looking like a cute kid. |
