As he said, the most criticism of this design comes from Europeans. But it's now the smaller market behind the US and China. I guess we can conclude that the new design is the outcome of having to satisfy a bigger customer segment which has a different taste in car design. Thank you China.

I actually think it isn't too bad..... it is a render though so we will see. At least it's not gone up into the bonnet line like the 3 series. Front of the 1 series is awful though

Must just be me, but I quite like it. Not a fan of the X7, 7, 1, 2GC or 3 front ends. But I quite like this. They aren't bad just because they are big. They are bad because of where they are positioned and the ugly detailing. Don't mind the rendition as it stands, in fact as I said I like it.

All I can say is that had they made a half decent looking 4 Series then I might have considered a new one at some point, however looking like it does I woudn't touch it with a bargepole. Just personal choice.

Looks are important and can make or break a sale. Sure BMW wouldn't miss losing me as one customer but whether the looks hurt or boost sales overall remains to be seen.
