Done that several times. No interest in 150 miles up the M1 in a Mini Clubman. When it’s delivered I’ll head off into Derbyshire, where I’ll get out and do my daily exercise, before another drive back.

She will definitely be having first drive, she has made that clear. She has no interest in going to London to get it though.

I'm sure they will. During the first lockdown things were a bit more tricky, but I think most dealerships will have got their act together and have a plan.

I had a detailed conversation with Williams about the measures they would be taking to deliver and to hand over the car safely in a contactless way in June. They produced a 7 or 8 page document about it.

Then they employed a random agency driver who hadn't been told any of it and needed me to give him a lift to the nearest bus route 6 miles away. I felt sorry for the chap, who was no spring chicken, so I took him. Not impressed with Williams Stockport though.

Comms with 3rd parties is the hardest, we have pages of documents, but getting the third parties to stick to them even when we share and stress is a nightmare....

Yep, same dealers. Car made in a different factory on a different continent though. Valeters have all been sacked and a new crew in.

Sorry, might not have been clear. Delivery is included in all the U.K. Forces / NHS deals, I’m just hoping lockdown doesn’t delay it.

Yep, same with son in law. You can also make appointments and test drive cars (alone obvs) during lockdown. I've told him I am interested in a 911 GTS, can he make me an appointment for a test drive
