Any dealer add-ons worth it?

Just purchased a M235i. Interested to know if any of the dealer add-ons are worth the cost. This includes things like appearance, windshield, clear bra, wheel and tire protection. I was thinking maybe wheel and tire but it's still $1900. Will get to extended warranties down the road. Appreciate opinions. Thanks.

No.

For the clear bra, it depends on who they have come in to do it. You would probably get a better, and cheaper, clear bra by asking around on these forums for a reputable installer in the Houston area.

None of those honestly. Get the clear bra done by somebody else. Most likely the dealer is going to contract it out to a shop anyway so they're just charging you a premium to call the shop. You could just as easily skip the middle man and go straight to the shop.

The guy I had do my clear bra actually does clear bras for dealerships when he's not doing it on his own business. They just call him and he comes to the dealership to do the clear bra.

Dealer addons aren't the best way to go. I have been very much impressed with the quality and costs offered by after market companies. This pertains to the BMWs and not aftermarket US domestic cars. Having been an astute Corvette fan for the past 50 years , I recently purchased a 135i year 2008. The after market goodies did cost more for the BMW but the quality was far superior. None of my purchases were from BMW dealers who tend to mark up costs that I feel to be unrealistic.
