Snoqualmie Valley Drive Sunday 8/6/23

Gotta at least do a local drive once every summer, right?!

I organized this a few times in the past pre-pandemic, then my car was down for a few years, and now it's ready to start back up again.

These are the best roads on the east side - start at Krispy Kreme in Issaquah and end close to Woodinville/hwy 522. Aim to depart at 9am.

Open to hitting a bar for lunch afterwards.

Here's the route (note that we continue on ben howard rd to sultan directly, not sure why it wants us to double back, but the rest is accurate)

New owner of an E92 M3 in the area and would definitely like to meet the community! I'll try to join if I can finish my brakes service on Saturday!

Might still go.... i was able to pop the tab back on with a flathead screwdriver. Possible this was an install error that only was detected now.

I'm going to give the car a bunch of driving tomorrow, and see how it looks. If that tab hasn't moved, I'll probably be there.

Good seeing everyone today. Great turnout, some really nice cars in attendance.

Once we left the elementary school we got separated a bit. We lost the guy in the Mineral Gray F82 M4 right away trying to get onto HWY 203 north to Monroe, but the rest of us toward the back caught up by Ben Howard Road. It was on that road that the Mustang driver going the other way was flipping us off. BMW hater, or something happened up toward the front?

It was trying to get through Sultan on HWY 2 that we really got separated. Looking at the map now, I assume the front of the group turned onto Kellogg Road, then out to Sultan Basin Road? 4 of us in the back (Sao Paulo Yellow G80, IB E90, IB E46, and Jet Black E92) turned early onto Sultan Basin Road, then all the way out to where the pavement ended. I was confused why we passed the rest of you on our way out (I thought we missed a turn to end up out there), but it makes sense after looking at the map, we beat you guys out to the end by turning too early.

Anyhow, once the 4 of us got back out to HWY 2 I headed home, as did the E46.
