21. Second car. I was given a TL Type S at age 16 that was originally my moms which they oh so kindly gave to me. I know I"m very fortunate and privileged to be making such a decision.

The rs5 has been spied fwiw, and you should see it's completely finished and it's being tracked *alot*. ANd has been for 6 months. Would be shocking to see that they didn't have it come. Audi already said the RS5 will come before the RS4 and RS6

Nah not heard anything yet! Audi are doing quite well at keeping us guessing but as soon as I hear anything I will post it.

S4 makes sense. Especially judging from the borders of the headlights.

They always make renderings and then try to disguise them as official pics.

Come to think of it, the current RS4 is the sole RS model ever to run a N/A engine, some say it was done to prove that Audi can also produce amazing high revving engine too and to stick two fingers up at BMW's M-Division by producing a V8 before them.
Funny thing is that Audi could have chosen to make the RS6 like the RS4 and give it a N/A engine (the Gallardo was already there) but decided to go back to their roots. Historically RS model have commanded a healthy increase over the S models and on checking the pencentage improvement stays pretty constant so if you look at the difference between the old S4 vs the RS4 and then use to same logic towards the S5 vs RS5 you come at a figure of 430~450hp (approx), that is a small improvement over the RS4 so if Audi stay true to form that improvement is easily achieveable by sticking to the current 4.2FSI without the need for turbos or the likes. Unless Audi throw us a curve ball and just beef up the current V6 superchanger unit from the S4, better weight, better emissions, better economy and better handling. After all an extra 100hp from a FI engine isn't that big of an ask from the engineers. |
