For anyone with pain problems, how do you find smoking helps? (I have M.S) and am in Pain, been thinking about trying some weed to ease the daily pain.

I have serious back pain from multiple disc problems(L5 S1 is completely gone, L4 L5 is almost gone and L3 L4 is slightly herniated. I take 1 40mg OP in the morning and 1 20mg OP in the evening and 1 15mg Mobic a day. Sometimes I need to take more if the pain is really bad. What I have found with blazing is it has a tendency to increase my back pain (mentaly of course). I think it allows me to focus on my pain more if that makes sense. Sometimes if I can't keep busy playing a competitive game of BF or Halo it can help to take my mind off my back pain.

Everybody is different it could offer you some relief, I would definitely try it but I would not suggest smoking it.
As much as I don't care for vaporizers the last thing you need to be doing is inhaling smoke. Maybe if you have a friend nearby that has one to try before making the investment. You can also try the edibles but you are probably going to have to make them yourself based on your locale.

Whatever you do make sure you do not do it alone, depending on your state of mind at the time you don't want the Noid showing up and freaking you out.

well if you're looking for a relief from pain, wouldn't it be best to smoke it as I thought you get more of the body high effects from smoking it over vaping... and edibles usually just makes people sick in my experience if they have never smoked and built up a tolerance for it... but i guess that might be because we loaded our cookies up xP but yeah i thought smoking it would relieve pain more so than vaping, but i'm not sure.

Yes, you can focus on the pain more and it is mental, but you can also get absorbed in some other activity and forget the pain almost entirely. It's all your mindset. Try combining canibus with activities rather than just sitting there and doing nothing. If you're bored, you'll naturally start to think of random things and it's not surprising you think of pain since you feel it.

He is suffering from MS and the muscle cramping associated with it, His body does not need the restricted blood flow caused by smoking that is why I suggested the vape or edibles

All good points, thanks guys. I see a Vape is expensive, damn!. But anyway. Reason I'm thinking of weed is for 3 reasons. Have M.S, which is causing causing pain in both my legs and knees(Neuro Pain relievers like Neurontin don't help), and herniated Discs in my Neck, and have Panic Attacks which Im on Xanax for.

Now, I feel like the weed would help Panic attacks which hopefully I can cut my Xanax dosage way down. Am I right in thinking this?

And Im hoping it would work pain wise for the things I listed, PLus I have a torn rotator cuff (yes, I know, I just keep piling on the problems, LOL.)

For pain I take 20mg Oxy IR. I take anywhere between 80mgs to 100mgs in a 24 hour period, and I would LOVE to cut that down also if weed smoking would help, I used to take the OC formula ER, which was great, but once it got switched to OP, I got nothing but sick, so I had to move to IR's.

I know I can get Medical Marijuana Legally in NJ, but I don't think the program is fully setup, I don't have a problem getting it other ways. Just I feel weird asking my doc "Hey DR, I wanna smoke some weed legally, write me a script!"..kind of weird. .

Ive smoked before, long time ago before I had any health problems, never for pain, but if it works it seems like nows the time I need it.

Thoughts?

P.S, I Didn't mean to thread jack, If I did...

Maybe I need to go meet up with Kiemyster...LOL

Yes, I believe you are correct in this assumption. Hit the herb and cut back on the xannie. I hear that ish is way worse for you and addictive too.

You have a completely legitimate reason to ingest canibus. Seriously, cases like yours are a base reason for legalization of medical marijuana. Of all the medication you've listed so far, canibus seems to be by far the least dangerous as well.

Now that you mention the oxy and your rotator cuff, I remember your thread about not seeing eye to eye with your new physician regarding treatment and medication.

If you do give medical marijuana a shot, please use it for at least a month or two before you pass judgement. I don't think it'll fully cure you of the pain but I think it will make everything more bearable. You can be a medical marijuana success story! Reminds me of the medical marijuana episode of Penn & Teller: Bullshit. Give that episode a watch if you haven't seen it before; it's an oldie but a goodie.

Your post is definitely relevant to the topic, so don't feel bad going OT. We're just BSing most the time anyways. I don't think any of the regulars here will mind imparting some advice to those who need it. Just take everything we say with half a grain of salt as everyone here are only enthusiasts.

Regarding your comment about vapes, yes they can be expensive but for long term daily use, I'd look into it. You don't need to buy a volcano, you can get a smaller vape as well. My buddy has a magic flight launch box and he likes it; look it up on amazon if you're curious.

Kie would be a good person to talk to regarding local advice. I'd wait for him to respond on here or even send him a PM.
